We at GlobalTranz Enterprises LLC, Worldwide Express, LLC, and Unishippers Global Logistics, LLC (collectively, “we,” “us,” “our”, or "WWEX Group" ) know you care about how your Personal Information, as defined below, is used and shared, and we take your privacy seriously.

We have created this Privacy Policy (“Policy”) in order to describe the personally identifiable information we collect, use, share, and otherwise process about visitors and users (“Personal Information”) through the following websites: globaltranz.com, globaltranzagents.com, wwex.com, unishippers.com, and unishipperfranchise.com (the “Sites”) as well as offline through contact forms or other communications with our personnel. In addition, this Policy describes the purposes we collect such Personal Information, and how we share that Personal Information. If you have questions or concerns about this Policy, please contact us as described below. This Policy only applies to the Sites.

Please note, Personal Information collected through our transportation and logistics platforms which require user access are outside of the scope of this Policy. This Policy also does not apply to Personal Information about: (i) our applicants, which is administered and controlled by Ceridian HCM Holding, Inc. for our recruiting activities and (ii) Personal Information about our employees, contractors, and other temporary workers, which are addressed through internal company policies and procedures.

We may modify this Policy at any time. All changes will be effective immediately upon posting to the Sites. Material changes will be conspicuously posted on the Sites or otherwise communicated to you.

  1. Information We Collect.
    We may collect Personal Information and other data when you visit our Sites or otherwise communicate with us. During the prior 12 months, we may have collected the following categories of Personal Information and other data from you:

    1. Identifying Information. We may collect contact information you provide including your name, email, postal address, zip code or phone number. For instance, you will be required to complete a customer registration form if you register for our services. We will also automatically collect your IP address if you visit our Sites.
    2. Geolocation Data. We may collect Personal Information about your approximate location when you use our Sites to locate our offices.
    3. Internet or other electronic network activity. We collect your browsing history, device type, browser preferences and version, visited URL’s and videos viewed when you visit our Sites.

    There are certain categories of Personal Information that we do not collect. “Sensitive Information” is any data that reveals your racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious or philosophical beliefs, or trade union membership, or that involves genetic or biometric data or data concerning health or sexual orientation. We do not collect any Sensitive Information from you and ask that you please do not provide Sensitive Information to us. Our Sites are not directed at children under 16 years of age. We do not knowingly collect, use, or share Personal Information from children under 16. If a parent or legal guardian learns that their child provided us with Personal Information without their consent, please contact us and we will make commercially reasonable attempts to delete such Personal Information.

  2. How We Use Personal Information. We or our third party service providers on our behalf use the categories of Personal Information listed above and other data we collect from you for the following purposes:
    1. To Communicate With You, Respond to Your Requests and Contract With You. We use Personal Information:

      • to respond to your questions, comments, or concerns
      • to send out customer access information
      • to provide customer support and assistance
      • to send newsletters or information about our products

    2. To Operate our Business. We use Personal Information to:
      • operate our business and inform our business strategies
      • improve products and services and to develop new ones
      • notify you of changes to the Sites or our Privacy Policy
      • provide customer support or assistance
      • process a job application
      • to provide service and technical updates
      • use in connection with a Business Transaction
    3. To Operate our Sites. We use Personal Information to help us manage the Sites, such as troubleshooting problems, improving the content and functionality of the Sites, statistical and other analyses of the Sites, and to customize the Sites to you and our users.
    4. To Market to You. We may use Personal Information to:
      • send you advertising
      • to market to you
      • to notify you of new products or services and for other similar communications. We may use your email and mailing address to send you promotional and other electronic and hardcopy communications. We may use third-parties or service providers to deliver these communications to you. To opt-out of such communications (e.g., postal marketing and telemarketing), please contact us as set forth in the “Contact Us” section below. Opting out of marketing communications does not opt you out of other, non-marketing communications from us. Users can have their information removed from our database and refuse future service updates, or cancel service by calling us at 1-800-748-7448 or by emailing us at customerprivacyrequest@wwex.com.
      • to send SMS messages to users who consented via our website at the time of form submission. Information collected is not shared with third parties or affiliates. Users can stop receiving SMS messages by following the opt-out instructions provided in the SMS message.
    5. To Create an Account. We collect your Personal Information in connection with your creation of an account on our Sites.
    6. When You Become or Refer an Agent or a Carrier. We collect your Personal Information
      • when you express interest in becoming an agent or refer another to become an agent
      • when you express an interest in becoming a carrier for GlobalTranz
    7. To Protect Our Rights. We may use Personal Information to protect our legal rights or interests, or those of other parties, including bringing a legal action against you or anyone who may be causing harm to us, our Sites, or to other users of the Sites.
    8. Developers Portal. When you use our Developer’s portal or integrate your E-commerce store.
  1. How We Share the Personal Information. We may share your Personal Information and other information we collect with the following categories of persons and entities:
    1. Employees and Affiliates. We may share Personal Information with our employees and affiliates who have a need to know the information for our business purposes.
    2. Service Providers and Third-Parties. We may share Personal Information with third parties and/or service providers that provide services for us. We may share by way of example, Personal Information with service providers and third parties to:
      • Help us manage the Sites and improve the content and function of the Sites.
      • To distribute and resell our products and services
      • Provide targeted advertising and marketing
      • Perform data analysis and statistical analysis
      • Provide email services
      • Provide data processing services
      • Support or provide security for the Sites.
    3. Government Officials / Law Enforcement. We will cooperate with law enforcement and other governmental agencies, and may disclose Personal Information: (i) if we believe in good faith we are legally required to disclose that Personal Information, (ii) if we are advised to disclose Personal Information by our legal counsel, or (iii) when necessary to identify, contact or bring a legal action against someone who may cause or be causing harm to, or interfering with the legal rights of, us or any other party.
    4. Professional Advisors. We may share Personal Information with our professional advisors, such as our attorneys, accountants, financial advisors and business advisors, in their capacity as advisors to us.
    5. Business Transactions. We may provide Personal Information to third parties in the case of
      • A change of control, ownership or the sale of all or a portion of the assets or equity in the company
      • An event of a bankruptcy, receivership or a similar transaction
      • As part of a due diligence process.
    6. With Your Consent. We may share Personal Information with third parties when you expressly consent or request we do so for the purposes for which you disclosed the Personal Information.
    1. Use and Disclosure of Non-Personal Information. We may collect or create information or data that does not personally identify an individual and is not readily available for that purpose. We may collect, use, share, transfer and otherwise process such information for any business purposes in our sole discretion, in compliance with applicable laws. We are the sole and exclusive owner of any information we create that does not personally identify you, including if we de-identify any Personal Information to create de-identified and/or aggregate information.
    2. Use of Cookies and Targeted Advertising. We collect Personal Information and other information automatically from you when you visit the Sites.
      1. Cookies & Other Tracking Technologies. What types of online tracking mechanisms do we use? We may use cookies, web beacons, pixel tags and other tracking technologies (collectively “Cookies”) on our Sites.What are cookies and web beacons / pixel tags? A cookie is a small text file that our Sites save onto your computer or device when you use the Sites that provide us certain information about your activities. Cookies allow the Sites to remember your actions and preferences and recognize you or your browser, along with some information you provided. Web beacons / pixel tags are small graphics on a webpage that monitor your activity when viewing a webpage.Why do we collect Cookies? We use Cookies to:
        • make our Sites function properly
        • provide personalized experiences
        • tailor our interactions with you
        • help with our marketing efforts
        • to advertise to you
        • provide us with valuable data and statistics about the usage and effectiveness of our Sites and to help us improve our Sites

        What type of information do Cookies collect? The Cookies on our Sites may collect information such as:

        • IP addresses assigned to the computers and other devices you use;
        • your internet service provider;
        • device ID number;
        • approximate geographic location (e.g., zip code);
        • browser type;
        • Sites pages visited;
        • website you access before and after visiting the Sites; and
        • data related to how and when you use the Sites.

We may combine information from Cookies with other Personal Information we collect from you.

How long do Cookies last? A Cookie can either be a “session” Cookie or a “persistent” Cookie. Session Cookies exist only for so long as you are visiting the applicable Sites and are typically deleted when you exit your web browser. Persistent Cookies exist for a set period of time, for example, up to several months or years. Each time you visit our Sites that have implemented a persistent Cookie, the persistent Cookie is renewed and that Cookie will remain active until its predetermined expiration date. You can manually delete persistent Cookies through your browser settings.

First and Third-party Cookies. Cookies may either be “first-party” or “third-party” Cookies. A first-party Cookie allows your web browser to talk to the actual Sites that you are visiting (i.e. the Sites). A third-party Cookie allows your web browser to talk to a third-party website, such as the source of an ad that appears on the website you are visiting or a third-party analytics provider. We may not have control over how a third-party uses information collected through third-party Cookies.

How do you manage Cookies or opt-out? Most browsers automatically accept cookies. You can disable this function by changing your browser settings, but disabling cookies may impact your use and enjoyment of the Sites. Not all features or functions of the Sites may work properly if you disable Cookies. You cannot disable all Cookies, such as Cookies that are essential to the functioning of the Sites.

      1. Analytical Tools. The following is a list of the various tools our Sites use to help gather more information about usage:
        • Collection of data through the Internet Service provider (IP address, time, location, browser, etc.)
        • Forms
        • Google Analytics, Google AdWords and conversion tracking
        • Microsoft Advertising (formerly Bing Ads)
        • LinkedIn and LinkedIn Insights
        • Pardot Activity Tracking
        • Wistia, Inc.

For example, we also may utilize Google Analytics, a web analysis service provided by Google, to better understand your use of the Sites. Google Analytics collects information such as how often users visit the Sites, what pages they visit and what other websites they used prior to visiting. Google uses the data collected to track and examine the use of our websites, to prepare reports on its activities and share them with other Google services. Google may use the data collected on our website to contextualize and personalize the ads of its own advertising network. Google’s ability to use and share information collected by Google Analytics about your visits to our website is restricted by the Google Analytics Terms of Use and the Google Privacy Policy.       1. Targeted Advertising. We may use certain advertising network services to engage in targeted advertisements. These advertising network services use data they collect from multiple sites and sources to target personal content and advertisements to you about our products. The data collected may be associated with your Personal Information. The targeted advertisements may appear on the Sites and on other websites and may be sent to you via email.For example, we use Google Ads and Microsoft Advertising to serve ads on our behalf across the internet and on the Sites. Google Ads and Microsoft Advertising use cookies, web beacons and other storage technologies to collect data about your visits to the Sites and your interaction with our products and services to provide us measurements and generate targeted advertisements to you on other websites that you visit across the internet.To opt out of remarketing advertising provided through Google, to customize your ad preferences, or to limit Google’s collection or use of such data, visit Google’s Safety Center and Google’s Ad Settings and follow Google’s personalized ad opt-out instructions. Opting out will not affect your use of the Sites. Changing your settings with individual browsers or ad networks will not necessarily carry over to other browsers or ad networks. As a result, depending on the opt-outs you request, you may occasionally still see our ads.
      2. Videos; Embedded Content. The Sites may contain videos and embedded content provided by YouTube, Vimeo, Wistia, and other third parties, including visible content and/or feeds scripts embedded in the Sites’ code. YouTube, Vimeo, Wistia, and such third parties may collect data about how you interact with such content. Specifically, our use of YouTube content requires us to implement certain application programming interfaces (APIs) from YouTube, which allow for data collection, disclosure and use by YouTube pursuant to the Google Privacy Policy available here. In addition, if you are signed into your Vimeo account when you visit our Sites, Vimeo may associate information collected when you visit our Sites with your account. By watching the videos and interacting with such content, you agree to the collection and use of such data. You may revoke YouTube’s access to your data by visiting the Google security settings page available here. Wistia provides software for creating, managing, and sharing with a customizable player and detailed analytics. Wistia helps track how many visitors play embedded videos, and how much of each video they play. For more information on their privacy practices, please visit the Wistia Privacy Policy.
      3. Maps. The Sites may contain maps provided by third parties and/or service providers for your convenience. We may collect data about how you interact with the maps. For example, Google may collect usage data on maps embedded on our Sites. Even if you do not interact with the maps, Google may still collect certain information about your interactions with our Sites if you are signed into your Google account when accessing our Portal.     1. Social Media. We are active on social media, including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Instagram (“Social Media”). Anything you post on Social Media is public information and will not be treated confidentially. We may post (or re-post) on the Sites and our Social Media pages any comments or content that you post on our Social Media pages.

The Sites allow you to connect and share data with Social Media platforms. These features may require us to use cookies, plug-ins, and APIs provided by such Social Media platforms to facilitate those communications and features. The Sites may use advertising networks and services offered by Social Media platforms to deliver advertising content. Use of these services requires Social Media platforms to implement cookies or pixel tags to deliver ads to you while you access the Sites.

Your use of Social Media is governed by the privacy policies and terms of the Social Media providers that own and operate those websites and not by this Policy. We encourage you to review those policies and terms.

    1. Data Security.

We use commercially reasonable technical and organizational measures to help secure Personal Information against loss, misuse, and alteration appropriate to the type of Personal Information processed. If a breach of your Personal Information occurs, we will notify you of the breach if required under applicable law.

You understand that no data transmission over the internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. While we strive to protect Personal Information, we do not guarantee the security of Personal Information and you provide Personal Information at your own risk.

    1. Access from Outside the United States and Canada.

If you access the Sites from outside the United States and Canada, please be aware that Personal Information may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in the United States and Canada. Certain governmental authorities may not consider the level of protection of Personal Information in the United States or Canada to be equivalent to that required by in other jurisdictions.

    1. Third-Party Websites.

The Sites may link to, or be linked to, websites not owned or controlled by us. We are not responsible for third-parties’ privacy policies or practices. This Policy does not apply to any third-party sales, website or to any data that you provide to third parties. You should read the privacy policy for each website that you visit.

    1. Your California Privacy Rights.

This Section of our Policy provides additional terms that apply to residents of California. In the event of a conflict between this Section and the remainder of this Policy, this Section shall take precedence for California residents. Any terms not defined in this Policy have the meanings set forth in the California Privacy Rights Act (“CPRA”), which will amend the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 (the “CCPA”) and its regulations.

Your Rights to Access, Correct, and Deletion. California law provides certain rights to California residents with regard to their Personal Information. Subject to exceptions permitted by applicable laws and verification of your identity, if you live in California, you may exercise the following rights with regard to your Personal Information.

Right to Know. You have a right to request that we disclose Personal Information that we have collected about you in the prior 12-month period:

      • The categories of personal Information we collected from you;
      • The categories of sources from which the personal Information was collected;
      • The specific pieces of Personal Information that we have collected from you (i.e. “data portability”);
      • The categories of third parties with whom we shared your Personal Information;
      • The categories of Personal Information that we “sold” or disclosed for a business purpose; and
      • The business or commercial purpose for collecting or selling your Personal Information.

Right to Delete. You have a right to request that we delete Personal Information we collected from you. We will comply with such request, and direct our service providers to do the same, subject to certain exceptions permitted by applicable law. In addition, we will retain a copy of your request and our response as required by applicable law.

Right to Correct. You have a right to request that we correct Personal Information we collected from you. We will comply with such request, and direct our service providers to do the same, subject to certain exceptions permitted by applicable law.

How to Exercise Your Rights of Access, Correct and Deletion.

Verifiable Consumer Request. In order to verify your request, you must provide sufficient information to allow us to reasonably verify you are the person about whom we collected Personal Information. You must describe your request with sufficient detail to allow us to properly understand, evaluate, and respond to your request.

How We Will Respond to a Request to Know or a Request to Delete. When we receive your request to exercise your rights, we will:

  • acknowledge receipt of your request within ten (10) business days of receipt with a description of how we will process your request;
  • we will try to match the information you provide in making the request with information we already maintain about you;
  • if required to verify your identity, we may ask you to provide additional information, including Personal Information, which we will only use for the purpose of verifying your identity.
  • if you maintain an account with us, we may use that account to respond to your request and/or verify your identity.
  • if required to verify your identity, we may ask you to provide additional information, including Personal Information, which we will only use for the purpose of verifying your identity. If we are unable to verify your request, we will not be able to fulfill your request.

When We Will Respond. We will try to respond to your request within 45 calendar days of receipt. If we require additional time, we will inform you of the reason and respond within the additional 45 calendar days extension period. Any disclosures we provide will only cover the 12-month period preceding our receipt of your request. We may charge a fee to process or respond to your request if it is excessive, repetitive, or manifestly unfounded.

Who May Exercise Your Rights. If you are a California resident, only you or a person authorized by you to act on your behalf may make a request regarding your Personal Information. A parent or legal guardian may make a request on behalf of their child.

If you choose to use an authorized agent, your authorized agent must provide proof that they have been given your signed permission to submit that request on your behalf. In addition, you must either (a) verify your identity directly with us, or (b) directly confirm with us that you granted permission to the authorized agent to submit the request on your behalf. You are required to verify the identity of both yourself and the authorized agent. Alternatively, the agent can provide power of attorney.

We may deny a request from an authorized agent if we do not have proof that they are authorized by you to act on your behalf.

Right Against Discrimination. You have a right not to receive discriminatory treatment for exercising any of your rights. If we choose to offer a financial incentives program in the future, additional terms will apply which may be an exception to this Section.

Appeal Process. If we are not able to take action on a submitted request, we shall inform you, without delay, of the reasons for not taking action and any rights you have to appeal our decision.

We Do Not Sell Personal Information. In the last 12 months we have not Sold your Personal Information to a third party, and we currently do not Sell Personal Information to third parties. You have the right to opt-out of the Sale of your Personal Information by businesses subject to California privacy laws. "Sale" / "Sold" / "Sell" has the definition set forth under California privacy law.

California’s “Do-Not-Track” Requirement. we currently do not honor “do not track” requests.

How long do we retain Personal Information? We retain Personal Information for as long as necessary for commercial purposes such as to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Statement and as otherwise needed to address tax, corporate, compliance, litigation, and other legal rights and obligations.

What are the consequences of not providing Personal Information? You are not required to provide all Personal Information identified in this Statement to use all of our Sites but certain functionality will not be available if you do not provide certain Personal Information. If you do not provide certain Personal Information, we may not be able to respond to your request, perform a transaction with you, or provide you with marketing that we believe you would find valuable.

Where is my Personal Information Stored? We store all your Personal Information in the United States and will not transfer your Personal Information overseas unless necessary to provide you with the Sites. If you access the Sites from outside the United States, please be aware that Personal Information will be transferred to, stored in, and processed in the United States. Certain governmental authorities may not consider the level of protection of Personal Information in the United States to be equivalent to that required by other jurisdictions.

Shine the Light. Pursuant to California Civil Code Section 1798.83, if you are a California resident, you have the right to obtain: (a) a list of all third parties to whom we may have disclosed your Personal Information within the past year for direct marketing purposes, and (b) a description of the categories of Personal Information disclosed, by emailing us at customerprivacyrequest@wwex.com.
